Kathryn Keener

Kathy Keener has proven to be a valuable resource since joining the Tulsa family law firm of Henry + Dow in early 2018 as a paralegal. With over 20 years of legal experience, Kathy’s forte at Henry + Dow has been in the arena of adoptions, divorce, guardianships and paternity.

“I love adoptions the most because everyone is happy with the end results and a lot of pictures get taken of what is a very memorable and special moment,” Kathy said. “Over the years, I have done over 100 adoptions.”

Kathy graduated from Northeastern State University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/ Paralegal Emphasis. Prior to her foray into family law and becoming a paralegal, Kathy had been in the horse industry – specifically with hunter jumpers. Due to the extensive travel involved, Kathy had a change of heart and took a part-time job at a law firm. It was during this stint that Kathy found her calling as an advocate for family law and her clients.

“The thing that makes me so good at my job is I have a very sympathetic ear,” Kathy said. “People going through the traumatic experience of a divorce just want someone to listen to their problems, and I am good at that. I like to be able to help people out in times of need.”

When Kathy is not working at Henry + Dow, you likely will find her hanging out with her friends, dogs or reading a good book. She also is immensely proud of her daughter, who has her own business and lives in California.
